Hi, I’m Ashley — the heart behind ABearor Photography.

I’m a portrait photographer based in Pearland, Texas, who loves capturing life’s fleeting moments in a way that feels genuine, heartfelt, and a little bit whimsical. Whether it’s families laughing together, children lost in play, couples sharing quiet moments, or individuals celebrating milestones (or themselves!) — I’m here for it all.

Before I followed my photography dream full time, I spent the last 10 years as a nurse — a role that taught me the true value of compassion, connection, and caring for people in every moment. I carry that same heart into my photography: patient, gentle, and always focused on making you feel seen and comfortable.

As someone with ADHD, my mind races a mile a minute — but my camera lets me slow down and truly see. I’ve been taking photos for as long as I can remember, setting up scenes and chasing beautiful light, driven by instinct and a deep love for preserving memories.

I can’t paint or draw — so instead, I capture what I see and feel through my lens. For me, it’s all about emotion: the real smiles, the big belly laughs, the tiny details that might otherwise slip away. My goal is to create images that make you feel something every time you look back at them.
